Watching the game last night between the Pistons and Pacers was nothing pleasant…at least not until the 4th quarter, when the Pistons finally got the lead…with a few minutes left in the game! Earlier in the game, the Pistons were shooting a mere 24%…NOTHING was going in. I repeat, NOTHING was going in!!!! Now we wait. We wait until Sunday, when the Pistons head to Los Angeles to play the league-dominating LA Lakers. Kobe, Shaq, Payton, Malone. They’re supposed to kick our ass. Right? They are supposed to crush us. I hope not. I hope the Pistons win at least 2 of the games. At least that way, the Pistons can let the fans know that they are contenders. Maybe not this year, but they definitely have a foundation for a few years to come! I think Joe Dumars has done a good job putting this team together!
This is pretty cool, and if you read the new stories linked to on this page, you’ll see that lots of people got pretty upset with this. They thought the photos were real, etc. I’m not sure yet if the original photo was real or not, the Lcpl one.
Man… what an awesome weekend! I didn’t expect the Indy 500 weekend/race day was going to be such a big deal! Man, that town knows how to party! Michelle and I had an absolutely wonderful time hanging out with Pepe and Sarah, Pepe’s sisters (Lisa and Krysten, sorry Beth), Lisa’s husband, Dave and Kari, and some other cats from Indy, Chicago, and parts “unknown”.
Yes, you read that right. I actually did some video encoding for these clips. The race was just too damn awesome not to include some of these!
I hope you enjoy the photos and videos! I sure did. I enjoyed making them, too.
I am definitely interested in going again!
The race had to get called at 180 laps (I think it was supposed to be 200). It was rain delayed for 1 hour and 47 mins. to start, then delayed again after 30 laps. Finally, it was called due to tornadoes coming into the area. We were supposed to meet up with Turk and Angela, but the bad weather didn’t allow for this. Saddened by the whole deal. Turk said he saw an actual tornado. Exciting and scary at the same time, I’m sure. Maybe next time, Jesse!
I always wanted to have someone to hold, someone to love. And now that you’ve come into my life… (Inside card) - …I’ve changed my mind.
I must admit, you brought religion into my life… (Inside card) - …I never believed in Hell until I met you. As the days go by, I think how lucky I am…. (Inside card) - …that you’re not here to ruin it for me. Congratulations on your promotion. Before you go…. (Inside card) - …will you take the knife from my back? You’ll probably need it again. Someday I hope to marry… (Inside card) - …someone other than you. Happy Birthday! You look great for your age…. (Inside card) - …almost lifelike! When we were together, you said you’d die for me… (Inside card) - …now we’ve broken up, I think it’s time to keep your promise.
We’ve been friends for a very long time… (Inside card) - …what do you say we stop? I’m so miserable without you… (Inside card) - …It’s almost like you’re still here.
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy…. (Inside card) - …Did you ever find out who the father was? You are such a good friend. If we were on a sinking ship and there was only one life jacket… (Inside card) - …I’d miss you terribly and think of you often. Your friends and I wanted to do something special for your birthday… (Inside card) - …So we’re having you put to sleep. Happy Birthday, Uncle Dad! (Available only in Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas) Looking back over the years we’ve been together, I can’t help but wonder… (Inside card) - ..What was I thinking? Congratulations on your wedding day!… (Inside card) - .Too bad no one likes your husband.
I took a few pictures of our garden yesterday. I wanted to make sure I had a “before” picture… let’s see how this thing looks in two months! We can’t wait!!
I’ve been busy the past few days with my Blogger.com account to try and be “active” there so I can try and procure a GMail account. Now, if anyone reading this blog, by chance, has a GMail account and also has an invitation they’d like to spare, feel free to send that invitation email over to me! Thanks.

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. She says she’s going to Europe on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for the loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Mercedes Benz SL 500. The car is parked on the street in front of the bank, she has the title, and everything checks out. The bank agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank’s president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the blonde for using a $110,000 Mercedes Benz as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then proceeds to drive the Benz into the bank’s underground garage and parks it there. Two weeks later, the blonde returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, “Miss, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi-millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?”
The blonde replies,“Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?”
Finally, a smart blonde joke. .
Now that’s a damn good joke!!! Many urban-dwellers will appreciate the woman’s ingenuity on this one!
I can’t believe this. People are actually selling or trading for accounts at gmail, Google’s famous email service that is currently in a testing phase, yet to be released to the public.
…come again some other day! It rained over 3 inches over the weekend for a total of 8 inches for the month of May, which is EXTRAORDINARY!! The Clinton River, out near my neck ‘o the woods, is pretty much causing flooding all over the place. The Hayloft bar on Ryan road is pretty much covered in water. The river crested and ended up making the parking lot a small lake. I couldn’t imagine the Hayloft being open for business any time soon!
Mr. Michigan contest Jon and I hung out all weekend. Damn good times. We went to the Mr. Michigan contest at the Redford Theatre in a pretty seedy part of town! Anyway, his friends, Greg, Justin, and Derek competed. Justin won the heavyweight and overall, Greg came in 2nd place in middleweight, and Derek came in 2nd place in super heavyweight. You can check out the photos here. You can also see that many ladies have been putting it to work in the gym. There’s a wide range of femail physiques here, from slightly “softer” to extremely ripped. It’s exciting to see people’s dedication and discipline paying off! Congrats to all the contestants!
Dead tree…begone!!! Jon and Chris came over on Saturday to help me remove an old tree stump. The aftermath.
Garden The garden is fully planted, frontyard and backyard versions. Expect to see pictures in the next few days. Michelle busted her ass all day Saturday planting to her heart’s content! Stay tuned for her “dirty” work!
Beyond Borders Michelle and I watched a great movie last night. Beyond Borders, with Angelina Jolie, was a very good film. One of those movies that is both exciting, and gripping. The movie is about the human aid/relief business and how it works in various areas of the world. They dealt with Africa, southeast Asia, and ended up in Chechnya.
They kicked their ass!! Man, it was fun to watch, only because it was game 7. Had it been game 1 or 2, it would’ve sucked, if you ask me.
Score Detroit: 90 New Jersey: 69
Rip Hamilton pretty much smothered Jason Kidd. Poor guy. He was held scoreless for the first time in his history of playoff games!!
Seriously, I’m glad they are back to where they were last year. As Ben Wallace said, they have to improve upon last year. Let’s hope they face off against the Lakers in the NBA Finals. The Pistons deserve it, Detroit deserves it!!
So, you bought songs from ITMS (iTunes Music Store). You want to play them on another machine, but you can’t, due to the DRM (Digital Rights Management). B.S., right? I think so.
