Google gives away iPhoto-like app
Picasa. Google recently acquired this Pasadena based company who makes an application like Apple’s iPhoto and Adobe’s Album. I guess this is simpler to use than Adobe’s offering.

Fiber to the Premises!
I took this from a Verizon press release.
Maximum connection speeds and pricing for Fios consumer services are:
* 5 Mbps/2 Mbps for $34.95 a month as part of a calling package, or
$39.95 a month stand-alone
* 15 Mbps/2 Mbps for $44.95 a month as part of a calling package, or
$49.95 a month stand-alone
* 30 Mbps/5 Mbps at pricing to be announced later
Would that not rock? To have a 30Mbps downstream and 5Mbps upstream connection for probably 60 bux a month? FANTASTIC!!!
This is being tested in Keller, Texas, at first. The future looks bright!
Some people need to do more constructive things with their time…and their BODIES!!!!
I think me and Demo are the only ones that like Da Ali G Show on HBO. The dude is absolutely hilarious!!!
Thanks, Alex, for sending me this article.
Apparently, Islamic Militants are now doing dry runs of actually building explose devices IN THE AIR. A group of them will travel together and each one will bring a different piece of the bomb onboard. Then, they’ll slowly put it together in the bathroom, like what these Syrian dudes were doing on the flight in that article I linked to. Scary.
Martha Gets 10 months, 5 in prison, 5 at home
Will she really go, though? She’ll appeal and it’ll probably get delayed.
Yesterday, we went to Comerica Park to watch the Tigers play the Yankees…and lose. Oh well. Can’t win ’em all.
Anyway, I thought I noticed her outside, but was puzzled as to why she’d be going to a Tigers game. Then, when I saw her and her 3 friends walk into Copa, through the regular gates, I knew it was her. Jessica Alba currently dating Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees.
Jessica Alba with her small entourage
Anyway, I thought it was cool. I felt bad about being the creepy photo guy, but I felt good about it, too.
Thanks to JT$ for this one.
Imagine if someone blindfolded you and pushed you into this bathroom and told you to take your dump.
Would you use the bathroom?
Now, if you walked up to the bathroom with your eyes open, you’d see this.
This is hilarious. Alex, thanks for sending this my way!
I think I forgot to mention a funny story.
When Michelle and I were about to head to Sedona/Flagstaff/Grand Canyon, I locked the keys in the car, while it was running. After trying for about :30, I couldn’t get the doors unlocked or the windows rolled down. I called AAA and they were sending a truck to get the car opened up for me. While waiting, however, I finally managed to get the coat hanger “just right”. I was able to push the window down button a few times to get the window down. Funny, but it wasted an hour. Nevertheless, we had a great time up there, and in the Phoenix area!
Maybe they knew, maybe they didn’t…
Prison Beating <– trust me, it’s a story at CNN. There are no images, in case you were worried about clicking the link.
Michelle and I had an absolutely wonderful time. At first, we hung out with Sean, and went up North. Northern Arizona is BEAUTIFUL!!! Reminded me a lot of Colorado. Then we went back down to the Phoenix area and hung out there, partying for July 4th in Tempe! Then we went up to Sedona, which is so beautiful, we stayed there 1 night when we were going to stay in Flagstaff, which didn’t do a whole lot for us. The Grand Canyon, as you’d expect, was stunning. After our trip up North, alone, we went back down to Chandler, and hung out with Aaron, Vicky, and Sean for two more days, having a wonderful time, a bit more relaxing, and not so “on the go” as the first 5 days!
Congrats to Greece for winning the Euro Cup!!!
Thanks, Norm, for sending the link.
Having a good time in Phoenix.
Heading up to Sedona and Flagstaff today. Tomorrow, we take a train to the Grand Canyon. We can’t wait!!!
It’s hot as hell in Phoenix, but it’s very pleasant up in Show Low. As soon as Michelle and I found Aaron’s house, played with Levi for a few, and repacked a small suitcase, we headed out to meet up with Sean and then head northeast to Show Low. What a beautiful drive up there. I can definitely see why people go up north, to the mountains. They want to get out of the summer heat. It’s at least 20 degrees cooler up there. We stayed at the Best Western, just outside of Show Low. Our plans were to go to the casino after we ran. Yes, although we were tired, we mustered up the strength and will to run six miles. It was definitely tough, as we were at about 7,500 feet of elevation. It made it very difficult to get warmed up, but we finally did it. The end of the run was starting to cold as the sun was down. What an experience, though.
For the way back, we drove past the big fires that are going on (pictures to follow in coming days). As we approached the fire area, the sky was getting hazier and hazier, and we could smell the smoke in the air. Our noses and throats were even getting a bit affected. Very cool, though! I just hope there is little or no property damage with this fire. Two years ago, almost 500,000 acres burnt up in the area. It’s dry, and fires start easily!
Happy Fourth of Joooooooly, everybody!
Thanks JT$:
